Neighborhood Watch (NWH)

Applies to all Sage Hills Homeowners and Residents. All NHW participation is completely voluntary. A successful group will maintain awareness and work to reduce the opportunity for crime. Picking up newspapers and mail, and generally making sure our homes are safe and not targets of crime. For the program to be most effective, the majority of neighbors should participate. Neighbors watching out for each other and reporting suspicious activities (call police at 311) are two of the most important aspects of a successful NHW program. For the safety of residents and in the event of a disaster - fire, earthquake, etc., having the information on residents will be of tremendous benefit. Authorities and neighbors can make sure all inhabitants can be accounted for. Block Captains (below) cover all of Sage Hills residents. Block Captains are responsible for keeping participant lists up to date. Welcoming new residents and providing helpful materials provided by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). They will also, on a regular basis, forward emails sent by LVMPD to the residents on their “block.”
